Chris Sutton reveals he told his son not to go to a Scottish university while speaking on BT Sport about sectarianism.
The former Celtic striker is part of the broadcaster’s coverage of Dundee v Hibs at Dens Park this evening.
But a lot of the pre-match discussion centred around the events of the last few days, most notably Steve Clarke’s comments about being the victim of sectarian abuse at Ibrox.
That followed Kris Boyd saying the same after Celtic’s visit to Rugby Park last weekend – and both faced the media together today to talk about it.
Now Sutton has given his view on the situation – insisting it’s still a problem and that’s part of the reason why he told his son not to go to a Scottish university when he had the choice last summer:
There’s an issue in Scottish football and the debate will no doubt continue moving forward too.
