David de Gea wasn’t backing down from Aleksandar Mitrovic towards the end of Manchester United‘s 3-0 win over Fulham.
The United goalkeeper was his usual quality self in the sticks for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s men as they grabbed an important victory to move up into the Premier League top four.
That’s his second clean sheet on the trot following the 1-0 win away at Leicester last week.
And he had a relatively easy afternoon of it against a poor Fulham team – with this off-the-ball clash with Mitrovic about the only real action he had to deal with.
Mitrovic is never far away from an aggressive clash with an opponent and de Gea should have probably expected it from the Serbian striker.
But the Spaniard wasn’t backing down as they clashed just before full-time:
United fans are delighted with their early afternoon result as it puts them up into fourth ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Manchester City tomorrow.
It’s been some turnaround for United under Solskjaer as they’re now unbeaten in 11 games since his arrival in the wake of Jose Mourinho’s sacking.
