Blues manager Maurizio Sarri is clinging to his job after a turbulent start to 2019 at Stamford Bridge, which has recently seen a 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth, a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Man City and a 2-0 exit in the FA Cup at home to Manchester United.

The Europa League has provided the only crumb of solace for the beleaguered Italian and tonight was no different, as N’Golo Kante’s lung-bursting run helped set-up Giroud for the game’s opening goal, after a dour first-half:

That’s six goals in his last seven games in the Europa League, and perhaps it’s about time Giroud gets a bit more of an opportunity in the Premier League from now on, don’t you think?

What do you think of Sarri’s current predicament at the London club?
