Video: Rangers Flop Umar Sadiq Scores Brilliant Solo Goal For Italian Side Perugia

Rangers flop Umar Sadiq roared back to form last night for his new club Perugia by scoring an excellent solo goal for the Serie B side.

The Nigeria Under-23 international spent the first-half of the season on-loan at Steven Gerrard’s side from his parent club Roma, but his spell in Scotland was nothing short of a disaster.

Sadiq started just one solitary match, against Aberdeen in the Betfred Cup semi-final, and failed to impress under the Hampden floodlights as the Dons won 1-0.

However, it seems the 22-year-old has rediscovered his form back in Italy, scoring the opening goal in Perugia’s 3-2 victory over Venezia last night, after collecting the ball from inside his own half and curling the ball into the bottom corner:

Not too shabby, eh?

Do you think there’s any chance Gerrard and Rangers washed their hands of Sadiq a tad too early?
