Video: Rodgers Praises ‘Absolutely Brilliant’ Players After Kilmarnock Win

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has lavished praise on his players this evening, following the Hoops’ last-gasp win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Given bitter rivals Rangers had dropped two points at home to St Johnstone yesterday, Rodgers knew his team could go eight points clear at the top of the Premiership with a win today, but it certainly didn’t come easy.

It looked like Kille had done more than enough to earn a 0-0 draw, but Scott Brown’s deflected volley in the 90th minute handed Celtic all three points, and Rodgers was beaming when speaking to the media afterwards:

Celtic now face a rematch with Valencia in the Europa League on Thursday, before hosting in-form Motherwell in Glasgow a week today.

Do you think Celtic now have one hand on the Premiership title after today’s result, and did they deserve to beat Kilmarnock in such dramatic fashion?
