Alfredo Morelos Has to Settle For Place on Bench in Colombia’s Game v Japan

Alfredo Morelos has had to settle for a place on the bench in Colombia‘s game against Japan this morning.

The Rangers striker earned a call-up to Carlos Queiroz’s squad after a brilliant run of recent form for the Ibrox club.

Despite some disciplinary issues, he’s scored 29 goals in 44 appearances this season – hitting eight in his last seven matches.

It’s no surprise Colombia have added him to their squad, even if they have the likes of Radamel Falcao and Luis Muriel to lead the line.

But he’s had to settle for a place on the bench in their friendly against Japan today.

They face off in Yokohama and it’s likely Morelos will get some game time given there is no limit on substitutions:

It would be a great achievement for Morelos to get his second appearance for Colombia – and hopefully it comes with a decent amount of time in the game,
