Brendan Rodgers Has Poured Cold Water on Suggestions of Lee Congerton Reunion

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has played down talk of a possible reunion with Lee Congerton, after reports surfaced this week suggesting Celtic‘s head of recruitment could soon be heading for pastures new.

Congerton was brought to Glasgow in 2016 after Rodgers arrived at Celtic Park and was charged with bringing in players for the first-team squad.

However, as we told you earlier this week, plenty of the club’s supporters have been far from impressed with his record of signings and it seems as though he wouldn’t be particularly missed if he were to leave.

Having worked together at Chelsea as well as Celtic, it might be reasonable to think Congerton could follow Rodgers to Leicester but the Foxes boss has poured cold water on the idea – for now at least:

Do you think Congerton realistically has a future at Celtic, and would he be a good addition to Leicester’s backroom staff?
