Celtic have had their application to erect a giant rotating LED screen outside their stadium rejected by Glasgow City Council.
As we told you back in October 2016, according to planning application documents on the Glasgow City Council website, the Hoops had applied to install an 8 metre by 4 metre screen which would be displayed 3 metres off the ground at the top of the Celtic Way.
However, according to a report in the Sun, council chiefs have rejected the plans to construct the illuminated screen because they fear it could distract drivers travelling on London Road.
The screen would’ve been used to display live and recorded action, as well as ads, and the description sounds similar to the one installed by Norwich City during the summer of 2016, although theirs actually takes pride of place next to the pitch.
What do you think of Celtic’s continued efforts to improve their stadium?
