Daniel James stole the show on his full debut for Wales this afternoon against Slovakia – and fans all across the UK reckon Ryan Giggs has managed to unearth a genuine gem in the young winger.
The Swansea City midfielder, 21, was handed his first start for the Welsh in today’s vital Euro 2020 qualifier in Cardiff and ended up opening his international account by slamming the ball past the helpless Slovak goalie after just five minutes, in what transpired to be the game’s only goal.
Of course, finding the back on the net in such a crucial victory was the highlight of the afternoon for James and every Wales supporter, but the youngster’s all-round display was nothing short of dazzling, and there’s no doubt his exciting mercurial talents have caught the eye of football fans all across the country:
Barring a near-miracle run of results to get into the playoffs, Swansea will more than likely still be in the Championship next season but judging by his display this afternoon, James certainly won’t be.
