Karamoko Dembele could be on the verge of making his breakthrough to the Celtic first team now that he’s 16.
Just a week ago, the highly rated attacker turned 16 – the minimum age for making an appearance in the SPFL.
And since then, he’s been training with the club’s first team while also appearing for their reserves earlier this week.
Tommy McIntyre’s men took on Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Monday and managed to grab a 1-0 win courtesy of Armstrong Okoflex’s goal.
But it was all about Dembele as he put on a show for those in attendance – and now all of you after Celtic released highlights of the game.
Given all of the talk about Brendan Rodgers leaving Celtic and Neil Lennon replacing him over the last few days, it would have been easy to miss the highlights.
So in case you did, here it is:
How good does Dembele look?
Now he’s 16, a first team appearance can’t be too far away – and it’d be interesting to see if Lennon will reward him with one.
It appeared clear that Rodgers was a big fan of the England youth international, but he’s obviously left Celtic now and that may change things for the youngster.
