Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has described today’s controversial win over Birmingham City ‘the best day of his life’.
The Villa skipper was caught at the centre of events in this afternoon’s 1-0 victory over their bitter Midlands rivals after a so-called supporter stormed onto the pitch and aimed a punch at him during the first-half.
Fortunately, Grealish was unharmed, whilst the lout was carried off into police custody, and he was probably just being booked into the cells when he was informed the 23-year-old winger had scored the only goal of the game.
When he was asked for his thoughts by reporters after the match, Grealish definitely wasn’t dwelling on the attack, and was instead beaming with his goal:
Well said!
What do you think of the crazy goings on?
