Jurgen Klopp Makes Big Call With Liverpool Starting XI For Bayern Munich

Jurgen Klopp has made a big call with his Liverpool starting XI to face Bayern Munich tonight.

The German manager is back in his homeland hoping to keep his side’s Champions League campaign going with a big result against the Bundesliga champions.

The teams are level at 0-0 from the first leg at Anfield, with Liverpool and Bayern really struggling to break each other down in the 90 minutes two weeks ago.

So Liverpool will need to at least score if they are to have a strong chance of going through to the last eight – with pressure on them due to the other three English teams being through already.

Klopp has made a big call with his XI for the game, deciding to keep Fabinho on the bench.

Instead, he’s went for Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner in a midfield three:

Is it the right decision though?

Fabinho has been outstanding for Liverpool this season and proving his worth after a £39million summer move from AS Monaco.

But Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner helped Liverpool get all the way to the final last season and Klopp will be hoping that experience helps them in what will be a very tough game against Bayern.
