Karpaty Lviv have hit out at reports that Celtic loanee Maryan Shved has suffered an injury.
The Ukrainian Premier League side sold the winger to the Hoops in January, but immediately got him back on loan until the end of the season.
He’s been playing well for them too, scoring 11 goals as they battle for safety by the end of the campaign.
But Karpaty appeared to be hit by some bad news earlier this week when reports said Shved had torn a thigh muscle.
Tearing any muscle usually means a long time out on the sidelines – something Karpaty won’t want.
But it turns out the reports aren’t true, with the Ukrainians taking to Twitter to hit back at the Scottish media:
So Shved isn’t injured and is currently preparing for Karpaty’s game against Mariupol.
That’s good news for Celtic fans as they’ll want Shved to finish his loan in his homeland in as strong a way as possible before joining them in the summer.
