Neil Lennon Hints that John Park Could Be Set for a Second Stint at Celtic

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has dropped a major hint that John Park could be set for a second stint with the Hoops later this season.

Park was previously played the crucial role of chief scout at Celtic Park for nine years before departing following the arrival of Brendan Rodgers and his head of recruitment Lee Congerton back in 2016.

But with Rodgers now in charge of Leicester City, and Congerton expected to follow him south, Lennon has admitted Park could be an option to fill any potential void.

Speaking during his press conference today, via the Sun, Lennon was asked about Park and he explained: “He did alright. He didn’t do badly.

“Lee is here, I’m working with Lee and it’s business as usual.

“I know there’s a lot of speculation surrounding Lee. We had a meeting 10 days ago, and he was full on.

“It’s a case of maybe watching this space. If he does move on I’m sure there will be a lot of candidates the club have in mind to take over.”

Park was previously credited with helping discover the likes of Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk during his first spell with the Premiership champions, so would he be welcomed back for another period?

What do you think of the idea?
