The Ibrox side will be at Pittodrie hoping to beat the Dons and book their place in the Cup semi-finals.
But it’s bound to be a tough game, as most have been when these sides have faced off against each other over the years.
Rangers go into the game in fine form, winning their last three on the bounce, unbeaten in their last five and without having conceded a goal.
A big part of their success has been the form of Scott Arfield.
The midfielder has been a big part of their play going forward and his man of the match display against Hamilton at the weekend showed exactly why Gerrard made him one of his first signings.
But they might have to go without him at Aberdeen – something that would no doubt be a setback:
Andy Halliday’s absence wouldn’t be great either as he’s arguably looked like a better option than Borna Barisic at left back over recent weeks.
But there’s still hope that both could be in the team for Aberdeen and that’s what Rangers fans will hold on to.
