Timothy Weah Has Cheeky Dig at Steven Gerrard After Celtic Beat Rangers

Timothy Weah has had a cheeky dig at Steven Gerrard after Celtic beat Rangers this afternoon.

The American attacker wasn’t involved in the 2-1 win for his side at Celtic Park earlier.

But he certainly enjoyed the victory, going mental on the sidelines and then taking to Instagram afterwards to celebrate it.

In the build-up to the game, Gerrard made some headlines after his literal answer to a question about Rangers going into a ‘lions’ den’ at Celtic Park:

Gerrard said it wouldn’t actually be a lions’ den – and that he’d never seen supporters win a game before.

That got a strong response from a lot of Celtic fans and Weah was obviously aware of it too.

After today’s game, he took to Instagram to post about the win – just look at the hashtag:

Odsonne Edouard produced a man of the match performance to help Celtic to the win, scoring one before setting up the late winner.

Ryan Kent did have 10-man Rangers back on level terms in the second half, but Edouard laid in James Forrest shortly after to hit the winner.
