Tottenham Lose Two Big Players Ahead of Liverpool Clash

Tottenham have lost two big players going into their clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are back in action after the international break with a trip to Anfield.

And they’ll be hoping to get a big victory which will help with their push for a top four place in the Premier League.

Their opponents have a different aim this season, sitting top of the table and two points above Manchester City.

So a win against Spurs would be a big boost in their pursuit of a first league title since 1990.

Their task should be made easier with Spurs now missing two key players.

It’s been confirmed both Harry Winks and Eric Dier will be absent for the game through injury:

That’ll come as a big disappointment to Spurs as both players have been important for them this season.

And it will hamper them in midfield, with both quality sitting midfield options.

Could it mean a return to the team for Victor Wanyama?

He hasn’t played since the 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the beginning of this month and has only made 11 appearances in total this season.
