After being held to a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock this afternoon, plenty of Rangers fans appear to be aiming their frustrations toward goalkeeper Allan McGregor.
McGregor made headlines earlier this week after calling time on his international career with Scotland, in order to focus on extending his playing time at Rangers.
Needless to say, few Gers fans chose to criticise the veteran shot-stopper as he’s been a revelation since returning to Ibrox from Hull City.
But the 37-year-old made a costly error in the first half against Killie this afternoon.
McGregor came rampaging out of his box only to see substitute Conor McAleny coolly slot the ball into his net:
McGregor has been amongst Gerrard’s top performers this season, having saved Rangers on countless occassions, especially during the Europa League campaign.
But those heroic performances didn’t stop irate Gers fans from letting their goalie know exactly what they thought of his costly error:
Although McGregor did gift Steve Clarke’s side the lead, top-scorer Alfredo Morelos equalised for Rangers shortly after the hour mark.
However, it’s surely more worrying for Gers fans that they had just 39% possession during the match than a seemingly one-off McGregor mistake.
