Video: Buffon Howler Gifts Lukaku Second Goal Against PSG

Romelu Lukaku scored two goals in one game for the third consecutive match this evening after being gifted a gilt-edged opening by legendary goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.

Travelling to Paris for the second-leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, even the most ardent United fan would have given his team very little chance of springing an upset and making a comeback.

However, after two minutes that all changed as Lukaku coolly rounded Buffon to put United 1-0 ahead and just 2-1 behind on aggregate.

PSG’s Juan Bernat equalised on 10 minutes but Lukaku ensured the tie wasn’t quite over by bagging his second on the half-hour mark, after profiting from a rare error from Buffon:

If Man Utd do manage to complete the comeback, where would it rank in the club’s all-time European results?

And would Thomas Tuchel be in danger of losing his job as PSG boss if his star-studded side crash out?
