Video: David De Gea Concedes Really Weird Goal Against Arsenal

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea found himself in the spotlight this afternoon after conceding a really peculiar goal against Arsenal.

De Gea and his United team-mates went into today’s crucial Premier League clash in North London fresh from their heroic 3-1 victory against PSG in the Champions League – a result which took them to a club record nine consecutive away victories in all competitions.

However, they were behind to their top-four rivals after just 11 minutes this afternoon, after de Gea inexplicably failed to react to a long-range effort from Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka:

De Gea has been hailed as probably the best goalie in world football over the last two or three seasons, and rightly so, but with his future at Old Trafford up in the air, and contract negotiations with the United hierarchy on-going, has he perhaps lost concentration in recent weeks?

What do you think of the goal, and de Gea’s form?
