Steven Gerrard has promised Rangers supporters that he’ll bring in some key additions during the summer transfer window, with a ‘little bit of magic’ on the shopping list.

Gerrard was furious on Tuesday night as he watched his Gers team crash out of the Scottish Cup to Aberdeen at Ibrox, ending their realistic hopes of winning any silverware this season.

With no sign of any trophies on the horizon and an eight-point gap to bitter rivals Celtic in the Premiership, the Rangers boss has admitted he’ll seek to sign some reinforcements at the end of the season but stopped short of saying there will be the upheaval of last summer:

Since Gerrard arrived in Glasgow he’s signed a whopping 19 players, including big-money signings like Jermain Defoe, Steve Davis and Allan McGregor, but how many more additions does he need to his squad?

And who should be heading for the exit door?
