Video: James Forrest Scores Beautiful Goal to Open Scoring in Celtic v Hibs

James Forrest scored an absolutely beautiful goal to open the scoring for Celtic against Hibs tonight.

The winger was relatively quiet in the opening hour of the Hoops’ visit to Easter Road for their Scottish Cup quarter-final.

But he sparked into life just after the hour mark when he beat two men before smashing the ball into the top corner.

It was a brilliant goal from Forrest and has put Celtic on the road to a very valuable win.

In case you haven’t seen it, here it is:

What a goal that is.

It was a pretty uneventful game up until Forrest’s goal, with both Hibs and Celtic failing to produce any quality in the final third.

But it’s his goal that is the difference so far and Celtic will be confident of going on to get a big win that puts them into the semi-finals ahead of the other games this weekend.

For Neil Lennon, it’s a perfect end to his first week back in the Hoops job after the 2-1 win over Hearts in midweek.
