Kris Boyd has described Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos as a ‘disgrace’ following the Colombian’s petulant dismissal this afternoon.
The 22-year-old forward went into today’s game against Celtic as his side’s main goal-scoring threat with 29 goals so far this season, but he was sent for an early bath after less than half-an-hour after inexplicably lashing out at Scott Brown.
Referee Bobby Madden was left with no choice but to brandish a straight red card and ex-Gers striker Boyd was pretty furious with Morelos for his loss of discipline:
Remarkably, that was Alfredo Morelos’s fifth red card this season, and whilst one was rescinded, he could now face a four-game ban for his tantrum – meaning he could miss the final Old Firm clash of the season.
What do you think of the incident, and Boyd’s comments?
Does Morelos deserve all of the criticism he’s getting, or is he being picked on somewhat?
