Liverpool wonderkid Rhian Brewster scored two goals in his first game back after 15 months out injured.
The 18-year-old striker has earned a reputation as one of England’s top young players over the last two years.
It started with his emergence as one of the stars of the English Under 17 team as they won the World Cup.
He scored eight goals in that competition and many expected a full Liverpool debut would soon follow.
But a serious ankle injury picked up in January 2018 led Brewster to spend the last 15 months on the treatment table.
And he’s only now just returned, playing his first game with the club’s Under 23 team this afternoon.
Brewster made it a scoring return, hitting two in a 4-0 victory over Northwestern University:
Liverpool fans will be hoping Brewster can get back to full fitness and form soon so he can finally make that long-awaited debut for the first team.
