Video: Lloris Slaughtered by Spurs Fans After Handing Liverpool Late Winner

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been absolutely slaughtered by his own team’s supporters this afternoon after dropping an awful clanger against Liverpool at Anfield.

The World Cup-winning shot-stopper took up his usual position between the sticks for Spurs for today’s eagerly anticipated Premier League clash, and actually put in a pretty self-assured performance for most of the game.

But, just as it looked like the North London club had done enough to secure a 1-1 draw thanks to Lucas Moura’s 70th minute equaliser, Lloris made a mistake at exactly the worst moment.

As the match edged towards injury time, the experienced keeper attempted to grab a fairly straightforward header from Mo Salah, only to drop the ball and watch helplessly as it ricocheted off Toby Alderweireld and across the goal-line:

As you can imagine, plenty of Spurs fans were far from happy with his input:

As we’ve told you previously, there have been calls for Lloris to be dropped as the club’s first-choice keeper, so is it time for Mauricio Pochettino to introduce some fresh blood behind his defence?
