As just about every football fan in the country will be aware of by now, Rodgers chose to end his two-and-a-half year stay in Glasgow last Tuesday for a return to the Premier League with Leicester City, where he’s signed a three-year contract.
However, speaking as a pundit on beIN Sports this afternoon, former Manchester United and Real Madrid boss Mourinho insists that if he was in Rodgers’ shoes he would’ve stuck around in the Scottish Premiership until the end of the campaign, whilst calling Celtic a ‘giant club’ in the process:
Of course, Neil Lennon is now in charge of Celtic until the end of the season, but the manager’s job could be up for grabs once again in the summer.
Is there any way at all that Mourinho could be an unlikely candidate to takeover at Parkhead?
