Steven Gerrard couldn’t hide his disappointment following Rangers‘ 1-1 draw at Hibs tonight.
The Ibrox manager would have travelled to Easter Road this evening hoping to get three points to continue his side’s pursuit of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
But they were unable to do that despite dominating the majority of the game.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side were second best in the first half and rightly found themselves behind going into the break.
Somehow, though, it was only one goal behind following Daniel Candeias’ goal.
Rangers had numerous other chances to extend their lead at the first half, but weren’t able to take advantage.
And Hibs made them pay when Florian Kamberi fired home late on to get the draw for the home side.
Gerrard looked frustrated on the sidelines and couldn’t hide that while speaking to Rangers TV post-match:
Rangers are now seven points behind Celtic, but their Glasgow rivals have an opportunity to go 10 clear if they beat Aberdeen tomorrow.
