Rangers were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock this afternoon, after which Steven Gerrard admitted he relies too heavily upon Alfredo Morelos.
The Colombian scored his 29th goal of the season as the hosts came from a goal behind to earn a point against Steve Clarke’s team.
Morelos has been earning all sorts of plaudits this term for his goal-scoring exploits, meanwhile his team-mates have struggled to keep up.
During his post-match interview, Gerrard hinted that he is growing tired of the 22-year-old being his only real goal threat:
Could this mean that Gerrard will look to bring in another attacking option in the summer?
Perhaps the ex-Liverpool skipper will change his formation ahead of their crucial Old Firm clash against Celtic at the end of the month?
While Rangers are unlikely to be able to muster a title challenge at this stage in the season, Gerrard’s comments should be well-received by Gers fans who want to see something different from their side.
