Video: Steven Gerrard Talks Alfredo Morelos, Cup, Injuries and More Ahead of Aberdeen

Steven Gerrard covered Alfredo Morelos, the Scottish Cup, injuries and more ahead of Aberdeen v Rangers on Sunday.

The Ibrox manager was speaking alongside his captain James Tavernier in build up to the Scottish Cup quarter-final tie at Pittodrie.

It’s a big game for Rangers as they continue their push for a trophy this season.

The title race may be beyond them as they currently trail rivals Celtic by eight points at the top of the Premiership.

But there’s no reason they can’t realistically hope for success in the Cup.

And it’s Aberdeen who next stand in their way, with a trip to Pittodrie making for one of the best ties of the round.

The last time the sides met was at Pittodrie, with Gerrard’s men emerging 4-2 winners at the end of a pulsating game.

Alfredo Morelos’ red card for a clash with Scott McKenna was one of the big moments of controversy in that game – something Gerrard spoke about in his presser.

And he also covered Rangers’ aim for the Cup, injuries going into the game and more:

Sunday’s game kicks off at 1.30pm and it’s going to be one you won’t want to miss.
