Arsenal Fans Plead with Aaron Ramsey to Stay After Goal Against Newcastle

Aaron Ramsey continued his hot streak for Arsenal tonight – and plenty of the club’s supporters are wondering why on Earth he’s being allowed to leave on a free transfer.

The Wales midfielder started this evening’s Premier League clash against Newcastle this evening at the Emirates, and was handed the captain’s armband by manager Unai Emery, despite the fact he’s set to depart for Juventus at the end of the current campaign.

The 28-year-old has been with the Gunners for more than a decade but it was announced back in February that he’d agreed to sign for the Italian giants on a four-year deal rumoured to be worth around £400,000 per week, after the Arsenal hierarchy decided not to try and match his demands.

Tonight’s strike was Ramsey’s sixth goal of the season, and it’s left plenty of Gooners on social media wondering exactly why their club isn’t pushing the boat out to keep such an integral player:

Do you think Ramsey will be a mammoth loss to Arsenal next season?
