Celtic fans are very frustrated after their team missed the opportunity to potentially win the title this weekend.
The Hoops knew that a win over Livingston today coupled with a victory for Motherwell against Rangers tomorrow would see them secure their eighth title in a row.
But they were unable to complete the first part of that, drawing 0-0 in a very frustrating game at Celtic Park.Embed from Getty Images
Neil Lennon named an attacking team for the match, choosing a 3-5-2 in an effort to get more attackers and midfielders in his team.
He also had the return of Tom Rogic, Kieran Tierney and Ryan Christie to the starting XI for the visit of Gary Holt’s hard-working side.
Yet Celtic were unable to break down a resolute Livi – and they’ll now have to wait until at least the first game of the split against Hibs to secure it.
Hoops fans are frustrated about that – and have shared that on Twitter:
Celtic play Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden next weekend before resuming Premiership duty against Hibs at Easter Road.
If Rangers were to lose to Motherwell tomorrow then it would mean a Celtic win over Hibs would secure the title.
