Celtic’s reserves produced a big result in the SPFL reserve league with a game to play.
Tommy McIntyre’s Hoops side travelled to Forthbank Stadium in Stirling to take on Motherwell in a game that would have title repercussions.
The Steelmen sat top of the table going into the game, one point above Hibs and Celtic.
But for Motherwell to have any chance of winning the title, they knew they’d need to beat Celtic.
Unfortunately for Maurice Ross’ men, they were unable to.
Instead, Celtic ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Armstrong Okoflex, PJ Crossan and Mikey Johnston.
And with that win, Celtic still have a chance to win the title:
Celtic and Hibs are now level at the top of the league on 35 points, but the Hoops have a game in hand, while Rangers sit just three points back with two games in hand over the Hibees and one over Celtic.
So it’s going to be a very entertaining end to the reserve season.
