Celtic‘s Green Brigade ultra group have issued a statement a day after pyrotechnics were controversially thrown on to the pitch during their game with St Mirren.
The Hoops beat the Buddies 2-0 last night thanks to goals from Timothy Weah and Ryan Christie.
But, again, it’s an off-field incident in the headlines after a pyrotechnic thrown from the Celtic support landed next to St Mirren goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky and led to him receiving treatment.
It’s not the first incident involving supporters throwing an object on to the pitch this season.
So the Green Brigade have moved to issue a statement on that incident as well as the treatment of football fans in Scottish football:
These incidents haven’t been exclusive to Celtic fans as others have involved Hibs, Hearts, Rangers and Aberdeen supporters among others too.
It’s not clear if Celtic will receive any punishment for the incident though.
Hopefully we can focus solely on the football between now and the end of the season.
