Liverpool and Nike in Talks Over Biggest Kit Deal in British Football History

Liverpool are in talks with Nike over what could turn out to be the biggest kit deal in the history of British football.

The Anfield side currently have their strips manufactured by American company New Balance and have done since signing a lucrative partnership back in 2015, but the contract is up for renewal, and Jurgen Klopp’s men could be decked out in some new threads from the start of the 2020/21 campaign.

And, according to ESPN, Nike are in the driving seat to replace New Balance – and will eclipse the £750 million deal Manchester United agreed with Adidas back in 2014.

Nike currently hold the record for the biggest kit deal in football with their £100 million-per-season agreement with Barcelona, but do Liverpool have the gravitas and sway to make them top that?

And would Liverpool look best in New Balance, Nike or any other of the sporting world’s massive brands?

What do you think?
