Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sprung a few surprises in his starting XI, most notably bringing in right-back Matteo Darmian for his first-ever start under the Norwegian manager.
Moreover, the under-fire Ashley Young keeps his place in the team despite the weekend’s embarrassing 4-0 defeat away at Everton, whilst young Brazilian defender Andreas Pereira starts in what looks like a variation of a 5-3-2.
Realistically, United need to win to keep alive hopes of a top-four finish and playing in next season’s Champions League – whilst City can go back to the top of the table and leapfrog title rivals Liverpool with a win.
To say United fans aren’t holding out much hope would be one of the understatements of the century:
