Marco Rose definitely won’t be Celtic manager this summer after he was officially confirmed as the next Borussia Monchengladbach manager.
The German manager has earned rave reviews as Red Bull Salzburg manager for the last two years.
In that time, he’s taken charge of 102 games, losing just nine.
And he’s managed to turn Salzburg into a force in the Europa League as well as Austrian champions last season.
His Salzburg team were so impressive against Celtic this season that many Hoops supporters believed he’d be the right man to replace Brendan Rodgers on a permanent basis.
Rose is actually still included among the bookmakers’ contenders for the job.
But there’s no chance he’s going to be Celtic manager now after Gladbach announced he’ll take over as their boss at the start of next season:
There’s no evidence to suggest Rose was among the names being looked at by Celtic, but the fans certainly wanted him considered.
Now the Hoops will look at alternatives if they decide to move on from caretaker boss Neil Lennon.
