Neil Lennon has given a worrying update on Kieran Tierney’s fitness.
The Celtic manager led his side to a 0-0 draw with Hibs at Easter Road this afternoon – a result that means they may have to wait longer to clinch the Scottish Premiership title.
While the lack of a cutting edge in yet another game is enough to worry Hoops fans, the absence of Tierney is another reason to fret.
He wasn’t even in the squad today as Lennon confirmed pre-match that he needs to see a specialist.
Now Lennon has revealed that Tierney could miss the rest of the season with the injury:
That is a big setback for Celtic going into some more important games between now and the summer.
They have the job of securing the title as well as the final Old Firm fixture of the season against Rangers to get through.
And then there’s the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts where Celtic will be aiming to clinch a treble treble.
Getting through those games unscathed without Tierney will be a tough task for Celtic.
