Neil Lennon has slated Steven Gerrard for his comments in the aftermath of Rangers’ loss to Celtic.
The Ibrox manager hasn’t been shy sharing his opinion following the 2-1 defeat for his side at Celtic Park last Sunday.
He claimed Scott Brown should have been punished for his ‘provocation’ in the game and insisted Rangers were the better team against the best team in the country despite going down 2-1.
But Lennon isn’t having that – and hit back with a strong response to Gerrard’s comments during his press conference today:
Lennon’s comments should go down well with Celtic fans following Gerrard’s words in the media following Sunday’s game.
The Hoops manager was speaking to the media this afternoon ahead of his side’s Scottish Premiership clash with Livingstom tomorrow.
Celtic moved 13 points clear of Rangers with last weekend’s win and maintained that with the victory over St Mirren in midweek and are likely to make some changes for the visit of Livi to Celtic Park.
