Rangers Flop Kevin Mbabu Joins Bundesliga Giants Wolfsburg for €10M

Rangers flop Kevin Mbabu has joined Bundesliga giants Wolfsburg for a fee in the region of €10 million.

The 24-year-old defender was one of five players who joined Rangers on-loan from Newcastle United during the 2014/15 season, when the Ibrox club were battling for promotion from the Championship, but he failed to play a single match in Scottish football.

Moreover, not only did Mbabu fail to register any game time in a Ranger shirt, he wasn’t even selected for the subs’ bench during his six-month stint in Glasgow.

However, to say the Switzerland international has rebuilt his career since leaving Rangers would be an understatement, with news breaking today of Wolfsburg’s agreement to end his two-year spell with Young Boys in his homeland:

What do you make of the big-money transfer?

And did the Rangers coaching team perhaps miss a trick by not noticing and nurturing the talent and potential Mbabu clearly has?
