Rangers Out of Move For Motherwell’s Jake Hastie as Surprise Club Become Frontrunners For Him

Rangers have pulled out of a move for Motherwell‘s Jake Hastie as a surprise club become frontrunners for him.

It was widely known that Steven Gerrard was interested in making the young Scottish winger his player this summer.

Hastie is coming to the end of his contract at Fir Park and has a number of suitors after impressing in the second half of the season.

The chances of him staying at Motherwell are slim – despite the club offering him a new deal – as he considers his options elsewhere.

But Rangers won’t be one of them after the Ibrox club pulled out of a move, according to reports.

Those same reports now say that MLS side Atlanta United are among the frontrunners for his signature – a surprising development considering Hastie is only 20 and will have options to stay in Britain.

Since breaking through to the Motherwell first team this season, Hastie has scored six goals and assisted one in 11 games.
