Rangers Throw Back to 2016 Scottish Cup Semi-Final Win Over Celtic

Rangers are this afternoon throwing back to their 2016 Scottish Cup semi-final win over Celtic.

The Ibrox side won’t be in this season’s final after losing to Aberdeen in the quarter-finals.

But they have plenty of great memories from the competition, most recently the 2016 semi win against rivals Celtic at Hampden.

On the day, they got through on penalties, drawing 2-2 after extra time.

They then went on to lose 3-2 to Hibs in a memorable final, but the semi-final is still a day Rangers fans look back fondly at.

And the club’s Twitter team have been busy throwing back to it this afternoon:

Rangers fans will hope their team can create more memories like that going forward – particularly against Celtic.

Steven Gerrard’s men play the Hoops at Ibrox on May 12th in what is the final Old Firm fixture of the season.

They’ve lost two against Celtic, but did win the last at Ibrox 1-0 thanks to Ryan Jack’s goal and will be confident they can do it again.
