Roberto Firmino has been awarded the Champions League player of the week after his showing against Porto.
The Liverpool striker was impressive as his side beat the Portuguese champions 2-0 in the first leg of their UCL quarter-final tie.
They are the only team that hold a two-goal lead going into next week’s first legs.
And you’d back Jurgen Klopp’s men to make the semi-finals if they can produce another performance like they did at Anfield.
Firmino laid on Naby Keita for the first goal of the game and then scored himself not long after.
Now he’s been awarded the Champions League player of the week:
If Liverpool are to get success domestically and in Europe this season then they’ll need Firmino and their other star players to continue performing well in big games.
If they don’t then the Anfield club might struggle to rival Manchester City for the title and make up for their Champions League final loss to Real Madrid last season.
