Scotland Dealt Blow as Celtic Prodigy Karamoko Dembele Commits to England for Next Season

Scotland have been dealt a major blow after Celtic prodigy Karamoko Dembele pledged his future to England – for the next season, at least.

The exciting play-maker signed his first-ever pro deal with the Hoops after turning 16 back in February, and has cemented his spot as a regular in the Parkhead club’s reserve squad this season.

And having been on the radar of every top scout in Europe ever since he was called into the Celtic Under-20 squad at the tender age of just 13, Dembele has gone on to represent both the English and Scottish national sides at youth level as he weighed up his international options.

But now it seems Dembele – who is also eligible to represent the Ivory Coast – has opted for England, after putting out a pretty blunt message to his Instagram followers on Wednesday night:

How big a blow is this to the future of the Scottish national team?
