Steven Gerrard Wants Rangers to ‘Remember’ Reaction to Their 2-1 Defeat to Rivals Celtic

Steven Gerrard wants Rangers to ‘remember’ the reaction to their 2-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Celtic on Sunday.

There’s been considerable fall-out from the game after a number of incidents at Celtic Park.

Scott Brown was involved in most, taking an elbow from Alfredo Morelos, a punch from Ryan Kent and a shove from Andy Halliday before that last flashpoint led to a scuffle between both sets of players.

Morelos and Halliday were sent off for their part in it all, while Kent was lucky not to be shown a red card.

And much of the post-match reaction has included delighted Celtic fans enjoying Brown’s involvement in it all.

Brown himself seemed to enjoy it too, laughing as Morelos was red carded and then celebrating in front of the Rangers support at full-time.

For Gerrard, while he wants to move on from the defeat, he also hopes Rangers ‘remember’ the reaction for the next time the fixture comes around:

We won’t have to wait too long for that game as Celtic will travel to Ibrox after the split for one more game.

Rangers will be desperately hoping they are at full strength for that and can get some revenge for Sunday’s loss.
