Fleetwood Town have released the trailer for a documentary about Joey Barton’s first season as their manager – and it looks like some watch.
The former English midfielder has been hitting the headlines all campaign, both for good and bad reasons.
The good ones are that Fleetwood have performed well this season, sitting 11th in the table after 41 games.
The bad ones have involved his behaviour, with Barton this week having to deny accusations that he physically assaulted Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel following their game last week.
There’s no denying Barton is a controversial figure and that should make this documentary a must watch.
And the trailer just proves that:
For Scottish football fans, there are a few familiar faces involved in it too, including Rangers midfielder Jason Holt, ex-Ross County defender Harry Souttar, former Celtic man Ross Wallace and current on-loan Killie man Conor McAleny.
It’s not been confirmed when the documentary will be released, but it should be entertaining.
