Steven Gerrard Admits Rangers Are ‘on the Cusp’ of Jake Hastie Signing

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has admitted his side are on the cusp of signing Motherwell’s promising winger Jake Hastie.

The Gers manager watched on from the sidelines as his team managed to beat Aberdeen 2-0 at Ibrox this afternoon thanks to two penalties from James Tavernier, with the result guaranteeing the Glasgow giants their first second-placed finish since returning to Scotland’s top-flight in 2016.

And speaking to the media after the full-time whistle, Gerrard confirmed he and his team are on the verge of adding Hastie to the ranks, after a season in which the impressive 20-year-old has scored 11 goals so far.

Rangers are also reportedly on the brink of signing Greg Stewart, and have already agreed a pre-contract deal with Kilmarnock’s left-winger Jordan Jones.

So, with Hastie added to that, should Rangers fans be excited ahead of the 2019/20 campaign?
