Video: Gerrard Claims Rangers Have a ‘Potentially Top Player’ in Glen Kamara

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has lavished praise on midfielder Glen Kamara following his side’s commanding win over Hearts at Ibrox on Wednesday evening.

Given Sunday’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of arch rivals Celtic, Gerrard went into tonight’s match expecting a reaction from his players and he certainly wasn’t disappointed, with goals from Defoe and Goldson making it 2-0 after 21 minutes.

In the end, it finished 3-0 to the home side, with Scott Arfield bagging a goal for himself after half-time, and Gerrard was keen to praise midfielders Arfield, Steven Davis and Glen Kamara for their performances.

Gerrard was keen to point to Arfield’s cersatility and Davis’s conditioning, but perhaps the most intriguing comments were reserved for Kamara in his post-match interview:

Signed for just £50,000 from Dundee in the January transfer window, could Glen Kamara really develop into a ‘top player’ for Rangers?

What do you think?
