Jake Hastie showed Rangers what they’ll be missing with a great goal against Aberdeen last night.
The Motherwell winger got another start and impressed again as The Steelmen lost 3-1 against the Dons at Pittodrie.
Stephen Robinson’s men knew they’d most likely have to win and hope Hibs didn’t pick up any points against Kilmarnock to keep their top six hopes alive.
And while that didn’t materialise, they can be proud of the way they’ve rallied to even have a chance at the top six after a poor start to the season.
A big reason for Motherwell’s improvement has been the emergence of some quality young talent at Fir Park, led by Hastie and David Turnbull.
Going into last night’s game, reports said Rangers had pulled out of the race to sign Hastie when his contract expires this summer, with MLS side Atlanta United now being frontrunners for his signature.
Hastie responded to that by producing a goal that showed exactly why Rangers will be missing out on a big talent:
How good a goal is that?!
Hastie now has six goals and one assist since breaking into the Motherwell team in January and is set to be a big addition for someone this summer.
