Benfica star Joao Felix announced himself as one of European football’s most exciting young players by scoring a brilliant hat-trick against
Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.
The teenager has been earmarked by scouts as one of the biggest stars of tomorrow for some time now, and a whole host of the European game’s clubs have been linked with the 19-year-old, but Manchester United are the one team who’ve been repeatedly mooted as one of his most likely destinations.
Playing in tonight’s quarter-final first-leg against the Turkish giants, Felix set about showing why he’s rumoured to have a buyout clause of around £100 million by banging in a treble in his side’s 4-2 home win – as well as assisting the fourth:
At the tender age of 19, it’s still a touch too early to be crowning Felix the new Zidane or anything like that, but he definitely looks like a pretty exciting prospect, eh?
What do you think of his hat-trick, and Man Utd’s chances of signing him this summer?
