Andy Carroll has confirmed he’s leaving West Ham United this summer with an emotional goodbye video message to the club’s supporters on social media this afternoon.
The 30-year-old striker has endured a pretty up-and-down spell in the East End of London, which have been riddled with countless injuries – but undeniably peppered with moments of brilliant magic.
Having scored just one goal in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers this season, Carroll’s time at the London Stadium is over, as he confirmed via the club’s social media accounts a little earlier today:
Once a £35 million Liverpool striker – and a £17 million signing for West Ham – Carroll’s career now seems in limbo somewhat, but where do you think he could end up next?
Could a move back to his boyhood side Newcastle United be on the cards this summer, or could he even follow ex-England team-mate Jermain Defoe up to Scotland?
